London Road Shawarma

I’ve eaten a lot of shawarma in my time, but London Shawarma might just be the best I’ve ever had—and I don’t say that lightly. The place is clean, inviting, and has that low-key vibe that always signals a hidden gem. Now, let’s talk about the food. I ordered the mixed shawarma wrap, and it was a masterclass in balance. The meat was perfectly seasoned—juicy, tender, with just the right amount of char. Packed with fresh salad and wrapped tightly in a lightly toasted wrap that held everything together without falling apart halfway through—yes, I noticed, and yes, it matters. Also the atmosphere is amazing and every member of staff is locked in.

Great find in Carlisle. Very friendly staff and great service. Food was excellent. Generous portions at a more than reasonable price. Photos do not do the food justice. Had the chicken fatayer and chicken shawarma and a portion of chips. Large chips were very large! Was staying overnight in Carlisle on a trip, will definitely return when back in Carlisle.

We had their chicken shawarma wraps, the lamb was not available, had probably ran out but their portion size was too good and taste wise it was also very nice. 7.5/10

Come here almost every day now, unbelievable flavour ,quality, price and portions London Road Shawarma the Chicken Shawarma plate with pitta breads totally addicted Even the garlic sauce was delicious. (Some takeaways have bland garlic sauce and hard bread) but after eating at this spot, I feel like I’ve had a really fresh and healthy takeaway. The bread was freshly made to order and everything was still hot when I brought it home. This definitely won’t be my last visit, in fact this could be our go to place from now on. Thank you!

I moved to Carlisle about a year ago and was majorly dissolved with the takeaways around here. However finally I have found one, the London Road Shawarma is amazing. The food is too quality, the shop it self is nice modern and clean and the staff can't do enough for you! I've had both the chicken and lamb shawarma and they are so juicy, chewy and overall amazing quality. The portion size are big and the prices are little too. This is by far the best takeaway in Carlisle!

Highly recommended for locals and visitors alike!

London Road Shawarma is the new boy in town, and i can honestly say this may be our go-to takeaway from now on. Usually, when i have a kebab, i rarely eat ths pita bread as they are quite tough, but here (flatbread/laffa/lavash?) are, soft and tasty, and that's just the flat bread. Chicken Shawarma wrap is bang on, full of flavour and succulent. I'm looking forward to trying everything else on the menu. The atmosphere is chilled and friendly, there is a sitting in option available, and comfortable seats. No delivery option is available as it may jeopardise the quality of their food. It is well worth picking up yourself, and if they keep the price at what they are, i reckon London Road Shawarma will do very well.
